Tips for downloading pdf files

If you have a broadband connection things happen pretty quickly. However, with a 56K modem expect several or many minutes delay.

If you choose to print the book, first print only the first page to make sure it prints in landscape mode (sideways). If necessary, set your print mode to landscape in the print dialog, then print the rest of the pages.

On a PC

Click the link to open the book within your browser window. If you do not have the reader on your computer, install it here for free.

To download the book for printing, right-click the link and choose Save Target As.

On a Mac

In the Mac Safari browser, click on the link to open the book in a book reader called Adobe Acrobat. If you do not have the reader on your computer, install it here for free.

If you want to download the book for printing, holding down the control key while clicking the link opens a popup menu in which you can choose "download linked file".

Once the book opens, adjust the magnification of the reader to 100% (command – or command +) so that you can see the whole page. Then use the arrow keys to change pages.
